Eco-Cell Ventilation

Proper roof venting is critical to good construction practices and maintenance. The purpose of roof venting is to reduce temperature build-up inside the roof cavity during the summer months and to reduce fungal wood rot and other problems associated with condensation in the roof cavity during the cooler months of the year.

TILE VENTILATORS

The breakthrough invention that delivers the easiest and most cost effective answer to roof ventilation, providing effective ventilation to the roof cavity all year round!

Let your house breathe
Beats the summer heat & solves winter condensation problems by providing vented natural air to the roof cavity, helping your house stay cool in summer and preventing condensation build-up in winter.

How does it work?
The Universal Tile Vent is placed in the fourth lower course of a tile roof to allow free air-flow to enter the roof cavity; another is placed on the third or fourth course from the top of the opposing side to allow hot air or moisture to evacuate the roof cavity.

Why do I need the Tile Ventilation System?
If your house suffers from heat build-up, condensation problems, stuffiness, or you rely on air conditioning systems excessively, these tiles are a cost effective way to improve the 'breath ability' of your home.

How many do I need?
4-6 Universal Tile Ventilators are required for a small size house; 6-8 for a medium house
and 8 or more tiles for large homes.

How do they look when installed?
Almost invisible! The Universal Tile Vent incorporates the external dimensions of the modern concrete tile [and most older concrete and terracotta] with configuration of a flat shingle tile with interlocking side laps.
There is no cowling or hood protruding from the plane of the roof line, the vent sits flush to the exposed dimensions of the host tile. The Universal Tile Ventilator can also be painted to suit your roof colour.
Durable and Tough Build Quality!
Constructed from strong BlueScope steel. No moving parts.

UNDER EAVES VENTILATION

Image

According to most building codes, you need 1 square metre of ventilation for every 100 square metres of roof space.
Eco-Cell can install Eaves Ventilators into your home to maximise your cool home solution.
A good venting system, installing Eaves Ventilation, allows for a continuous flow of air, which enters the roof cavity under the eaves of the roof and exits the roof through a wind turbine roof ventilator.
As a general rule, there is no need to provide for any sort of mechanical assistance, fans, or other devices to the roof venting system. A good venting system works adequately by means of a natural convection current where warm air rises and pulls the cooler, drier air behind it. A good roof venting system must also be designed in such a way as to provide for proper air flow at all portions of the roof.

ROOF GABLE VENTILATION

Louvered Gable Vents

Proper Ventilation represents a small investment and provides many worthwhile benefits including increased comfort, reduced energy costs and fewer damage problems. Placed at the ends of the Roof. They can function as either intake or exhaust vents depending on the direction of the wind. They will not work as exhaust vents without eaves vents. Gable Vents cool your roof by encouraging air temperatures (featuring a larger venting area than industry standards require), whilst 'dressing up' gable ends better than other alternatives.
